LOBITO BOUND

A journey to Africa's new frontier

Join BAFTA-nominated explorer Dwayne Fields on an epic road-trip through a region on the brink of incredible change.

Few people have heard of the ‘Lobito Corridor’, but that’s about to change.

This multi-billion dollar idea will touch the lives of people around the world, and promises to put Angola, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo & Tanzania at the heart of the global economy. The huge mineral wealth of these four African nations is key to building a cleaner, greener future. If their geological treasures cannot be unlocked, the global fight against climate change is doomed to fail.

Setting off from the Tanzanian capital of Dar Es Salaam on Africa’s Indian Ocean coast, Dwayne will travel by road, rail, boat and foot through the breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cities and remote communities of Zambia, the DRC and Angola, aiming for journey’s end at the deepwater port of Lobito on Angola’s Atlantic shore: a fledgling gateway between Africa and the world.

British-Jamaican explorer Dwayne Fields - in partnership with pan-African mobile provider Africell - is on a 4,000km cross-continental journey to investigate this big idea.
